Worship with The Anglican
Parish of Clarendon
|
|
Welcome
to the Parish of Clarendon web site. Your interest in the life,
work and witness of our Parish is appreciated. Please feel free
to contact us
with any questions. If you are
looking for a parish in the Pontiac area of West Quebec, we
hope that you will find us a welcoming community where you can
grow in faith.
Our Parish covers a wide
area and we worship weekly in three
church buildings. There are three other church buildings which
are used occasionally. The
history of the Anglican Church in Clarendon began with the
earliest settlers here and our Parish continues to be a centre
of Anglican worship for the area.
It is our mission to be faithful in proclaiming the Gospel in
a community rich in history, yet facing the challenges of the
21st Century.
You are invited to join
in the life of our parish, or to visit us in this beautiful
area if you are passing by.
At present, the Parish of
Clarendon includes three active congregations: St. Paul’s,
Shawville; Holy Trinity, Radford; and St. George’s, Portage
du Fort. There are also three chapel churches: St. Matthew’s,
Charteris; St. Stephen’s, Greermount and St. Thomas’,
Bristol, which are used for special occasions. Please feel free
to contact us
with any questions.
